May 2024 Newsletter

A rather late newsletter this month, as I was on a much needed sunshine break!

Firstly, thank you to Paula and Emily at Hatton House Art and Design, Dunkeld, for hosting a David Henty Solo Art Exhibition this month. There was also a ‘meet and greet’ where I was able to have a ‘wee blether’ with some very interesting people. I’ll be booking in a return visit soon!

I am also delighted to have been asked to do a talk, not only about art but also about my recovery.

Bright Cancer Care is a charity based at the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guilford, where I had my Whipple operation to remove a tumour on my pancreas.  I am completed indebted to the team; their care and support were amazing.

The talk will be held at the very impressive Fetcham Park in Surrey on the 16th May.  Fetcham Park was built between 1700 -1705, with the most stunning wall and ceiling murals painted by Louis Laguerre (born at the court of Louis XIV at Versailles Paris).  The house is now run as serviced offices and meeting rooms for conferences and event. I really am so lucky to be sharing my recovery story and my love of art there.

Tickets to the event are available via Fetcham Park and Bright. (Instagram @brightcancercare2 @fetchampark)
