Here’s a sneaky peak into what you may see at our pop up exhibition in London – dates and address for the show coming soon. I have been working on Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, Van Eyck, Picasso and Modigliani to name but a few and for the first time in history they’ll be brought together in one room, their artistic genius, their diverse styles, their passion for their art proudly on display.

Speaking of Van Gogh, I’ve been lucky enough to visit the Van Gogh and Britain exhibition at the Tate Britain, which I highly recommend. Also recommended is the film At Eternity’s Gate, which takes a look at the life of the painter during the time he lived in Arles and Auvers-sur-Oise, France. Both have left me with an urge to recreate more of his incredible works.

Collaborations with BBC 4 and Sky continue and filming will commence soon.

Finally, a big thank you to Cathy Verney, the curator at St Pauls Worthing for asking me to be a sitter at Worthing Portrait Artist of the Year. What a fantastic evening it was! The venue (The Chapel, Worthing) and the talented twelve portrait painters were all amazing. To paint for four hours in a competitive atmosphere and with judges watching your every paint, pen, chalk, and all mix media stroke must be nerve racking! Congratulations to Mark Oliver for his winning portrait of the High Sheriff of West Sussex: Caroline Nicholls, and the runners up Richard Fisher for his portrait of Simon Fanshawe, and Wendy Barratt for her painting of me!
